2009 Educational Program

CONGRATULATIONS to READ INTERNATIONAL and PROMOTING EQUALITY IN AFRICAN SCHOOLS (PEAS)

After consideration the board of the American Fund has chosen Read International and
PEAS as the first two charities to work with on this exciting new venture

INTRODUCTION:
Both Read International and PEAS are small ‘hands on’ charities committed to
improving education in Africa.

In very different ways these two young enthusiastic organizations have
impressed the board of the American Fund with their commitment,
enthusiasm and hands on approach.

CURRENT PROJECTS:
We hope to bring news updates throughout 2009 and beyond showing the
effects of the excellent work of both organizations in Tanzania and Uganda.

The Board of the American Fund is aware that this is an ambitious program, but
believe it is the right of every child in Africa to receive a varied and fulfilling
education and with the help of our large family of donors we hope to take a step
further towards this goal.

20% of amounts retained by the American Fund For Charities from donations over $500
will be put towards our new program.

Should you wish to make a donation towards this program, please ensure that you have indicated this on your donation form.

Grants made by this program are decided by the board of the American Fund for Charities
